Who is David Baron?

I come from a broad background of IT Project Management, Consultancy, Software Development and Network Engineering.

David BaronHaving worked originally in Defense Electronics and Computing for GEC-Elliot-Marconi, I went on to be Principal Test Engineer with (DRI) Data Recording Industries on prototype mainframe Peripherals for ICL, and a Quality Engineer for mainframe Disk Drive Units.

I spent some time as an Engineering Supervisor with IBM (UK) Ltd and later went back to Quality Engineering with AST Computers at Heathrow UK and Irvine California.

As MD of Baronet IT Services Ltd I provided Contract Networking services to banks, blue-chip companies and local and central government departments. Our specialty was Novell Networking softwares and x platform gateways.

I was employed by Ernst and Young (City of London) as an in-house IT Consultant working on a number of projects to provide software integration and development on cross platform enterprise wide networks.

Use of the Internet both for research and for integration into various projects has long been part of my work so the transition to web development came pretty naturally with a wealth of hardware and software experience to call on to overcome any problems.
